About the Job

The Lifetime Value Co. is looking for a Contract Senior Tax Accountant who will be responsible for supporting facilitation and management of the company’s federal and state tax returns as well as assisting with the companies’ Sales Tax liability and filings. The seasonal role will focus on supporting as well as improving the overall tax process in the organization. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, pays close attention to details, has excellent relationship skills, time management, and is extremely organized. They will monitor current and impending changes to tax regulation and make the appropriate updates to policies and strategies.

What You Will Get to Do

  • Reporting to Assoc. Director of Tax
  • Play a key role in the review of S-Corp (1120-S), Partnership (1065), Composite, Pass-Thru Entity and Miscellaneous Tax Returns
  • Respond to IRS & State tax notices
  • Registrations of companies in various state/city jurisdictions
  • Ensure that submissions of tax forms are timely and accurate
  • Prepare supporting schedules as necessary
  • Assist in the management of 3rd party tax preparers/consultants
  • Identify opportunities for tax savings

What You Bring to the Table

  • 5+ years of experience in a tax accountant or public accountant role
  • SaaS experience preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns
  • Sales tax experience, specifically nexus monitoring and reporting
  • Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills
  • Analytical skills with detail orientation
  • Familiarity with U.S. federal, state and local reporting requirements
  • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations
  • Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders and communicate the benefits of tax initiatives.
  • BA/BS in Accounting or MA in Taxation, CPA Preferred
